Health and Safety
Stage 1
This course will help you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to represent your members. Things you will learn about include:
- the role and responsibility of safety reps
- how to identify hazards and problems in your workplace
- how to improve union organisation on health and safety
- how to take up problems with management
- what the laws say about health and safety.

- the legal framework, including the links between UK and European law;
- getting involved in assessments
